droid_rage's Journal: moderation again

I swear I wrote this already, but it's not in my journal now. I musta hit the wrong button or I forgot to save.

I've got moderator points again. Exactly one month after the last time I was a moderator. I had thought moderator points were a little harder to come by, although judging from all the crap out there that gets modded up (and down, I suppose), maybe it's not so far off.
Anybody care to share how often they get mod points?

i used to get mod points about every other week. now that it is based more on your metamoderation, i get points about once every month or two. i don't metamoderate very often.

I must be doing something wrong. I metamoderate twice a day, but I haven't mod point for over a month now...

your reading habbits (page requests) also have to fall into the middle of the bell curve. if you read too much or not enough, you don't get points as often.

I didn't realize it was based that much on metamodding.
At first I thought that maybe it was a bug in the code. Like there was a flag that only got reset after you'd used your mod-points, and since I never use all mine I wasn't tripping the flag. Once a month is really ridiculously often to be moderating. I never post when I have points, either. I keep thinking I might want to mod something up.
