Journal nizo's Journal: A very awesome afternoon at the fair 1
Well, as crappy as this last week was, I had a total blast at the state fair with my kids, my nephews (who I haven't seen in ages) and my mom. The day started out with a bitchfest between the SO and I, followed up by my mom ripping into my SO, which seemed to indicate things weren't off to a promising start for the day. But by the time I had picked up the nephews and arrived back home, the SO decided not to come so the rest of us went to the fair anyway and had a total blast. Every kid came away with a grin on his or her face, and they all had way too much fun talking and goofing around with each other, which was nice. My nephews are both awesome kids and my daughters are always wonderful to be around, so it was really nice to spend an afternoon having fun with all of them. And heck I even found a $20 bill on the street as we walked home, which was a nice (if small) offset to all the money we spent today
