Only an idiot would jump in a bear cage.
BELGRADE, Serbia (Reuters) -- A 23-year old Serb was found dead and half-eaten in the bear cage of Belgrade Zoo at the weekend during the annual beer festival.
The man was found naked, with his clothes lying intact inside the cage. Two adult bears, Masha and Misha, had dragged the body to their feeding corner and reacted angrily when keepers tried to recover it.
"There's a good chance he was drunk or drugged. Only an idiot would jump into the bear cage," zoo director Vuk Bojovic told Reuters.
Local media reported that police found several mobile phones inside the cage, as well as bricks, stones and beer cans.
Here is my theory. A bunch of people get drunk at the beer festival and some of them go throw stuff at the bears. This guy (apparently among others) threw his phone at the bears, and then his drunk brain realized he wanted his phone, and so he climbed in to get it. At some point he felt that being naked was the best way to sneak in among the bears and recover the phone. I'm thinking this guy gets at least an honorable mention in the Darwins this year.

Youth is wasted on the young (Score:2)
He was 23. Being inebriated, what little reasoning capacity he may have had was completely obliterated by the alcohol. No doubt he'll be a Darwin-award semi-finalist, but it seems to be par for the course based on his age. Now, if you'd told me some 50 year old guy jumped into a bear cage, he'd be a shoo-in. When we're young, we do lots of little stupid things; as you get older, the quantity goes down but the quality of the stupidity goes up.
