...to posting all AC all the time. Or just not even bother. sheesh, post a reply to a journal, next thing I know I'm on the front page as well getting raked over ther coals because I dare to call the government a liar in general terms and dare to notice all the weird happenings lately. I mean, how much of that is really hidden? It's like posting raw data and getting called on it. Probably for the best, I've been thinking I'm spending too much time here on slashdot, although I enjoy it, it seems to have been
I think mebbee that lately I have more success because I format the post in a way that requires little editorial work from the/. on-duty, and I seem to align with the slant that KDAWSON gets.
I pick slow news days, too!
No shot at the front today - I could post about the SkyPe meltdown - but I'd give-away too much insider talk, and need to keep my job!
appears to be quite severe and is being reported as a "software failure". Well, duh....it's a computer program and they must have a lot of hardware redundancy, so.. so, legit failure as in accident or "otherwise" are the only options. Seeing as how you can't comment, I will go with "otherwise" as most probable, as long as I am limb walking lately and to go with my admitted nature of never taking things at face value. Well-connected peers can elect themselves "supernodes" - high-powered routing and aggregating proxies for other peers.
Something kept these nodes from quickly re-establishing their supernode status, as they rebooted on Wed. This seems to have been a cascading effect - cannot find another supernode, so can't full establish oneself as a supernode.
well, the fallout so far is I got modded down to flamebait, plus I picked up one foe. It's just getting old. I've been writing editorials and analysis pieces since the *mid sixties*, and even though almost everything I predicted has come true (not all, but most of it), the common "meme" as you put it over the years boils down to "lol, tin foil hat!", with whatever pick -a- generation used to convey that sentiment.
It's just getting old, that's all. Starting to really not care what happens to people given THEY
