pedestrian crossing's Journal: Someone who gets it right

Since the Ritz Camera fiasco, I've tried B&H.

It is such a relief to see someone get it right.

• If something isn't in stock, you can't order it, only put it on your wish list and sign up for an email notification when the item comes in stock.
• If the item for some reason is not available when your order is processed, they will give you the option of splitting the shipment.

So far, I'm happy with them, their system was designed to avoid all of the issues that RitzCamera just couldn't seem to handle!

B&H is great, the website is (as you've discovered) really good. However, I've been told their phone support isn't the greatest, particularly if you have a question about a product they're not likely to be too helpful. Not that I've ever had any trouble, but everything I've always known exactly what I've wanted and it's always worked correctly out of the box, so I've never even called them.

The real problem I have with them is that the prices are a little high -- they're a lot better than most places,
