Stargoat's Journal: Asian Americans need to get it together

Asian American kids are getting tossed in jail for no decent reason. There's no Jesse Jackson to raise a ruckas, and no white influence and cultural experience to rise to the defense. It's more than time to organize politically to keep this BS from happening.

That's a good reason to get thrown in jail. I'm saddened, but won't be surprised if someone familiar with the area confirms my suspicion: There's probably lousy or nearly non-existent mental health support available for teens there, especially for cross-cultural/assimilation issues.

Killing someone in a fight who abuses you physically, mentally, and sexually is not a good reason to get thrown in jail.

Okay I'm utterly missing the part where it says she was abused physically and sexually. The closest I've come is to follow a link from your link http://www.pitch.com/2006-01-05/news/is-esmie-evil /full [pitch.com] where some remember her having bruises after a fight with her parents.
