I have conceived a method of finding digits of Pi, which, no matter what its other drawbacks, is thoroughly modern and was not available to the ancients.

[14:03:34] I worked out a new method for finding digits of pi
[14:03:39] think of as many digits as you can
[14:03:45] then put that into Google Codesearch
[14:03:55] then copy the longest string you see in the results
[14:04:00] then put THAT into codesearch
[14:04:09] and repeat until you're satisfied or there are no more results
