Shuttle Schedule

Very much subject to change I imagine:

        * STS-117 - No earlier than June 8 (Atlantis)
        * STS-118 - No earlier than August 9 (Endeavour)
        * STS-120 - No earlier than October 20 (Discovery)
        * STS-122 - No earlier than December 6 (Atlantis)
        * STS-123 - No earlier than February 14 (Endeavour)
        * STS-124 - No earlier than April 24, 2008 (Discovery)

Not knowing much about the Space Shuttles

I have to ask: what happened to STS-119 and 121? Did a hacker break in with the password "password" and delete the mission profiles?

(If I had to guess, I'd guess that missions 119 and 121 will be carrying military payloads, and don't get their schedules published).

I don't know a whole lot about the way they number the missions myself, but apparently they can be a bit out of order with the number. sts-121 took place last summer and sts-119 is planned to take place after sts-124 - roughly october of 2008 I guess. I think they start a plan with them all in order and then as they adjust, some can be moved forward or backward in the schedule. I'll have to dig around more and see - I hadn't even noticed the gap, I'm glad you pointed it out.

I want to see a launch so bad

Maybe I will try to schedule our vacation to visit the SO's family around the first one and see what happens :-) Would be way cool to see a launch. I garundamntee I will go down to the new space port here to see the first launch whenever that happens....
