Journal GMontag's Journal: Edwards discovers prayer after his case of vapors

Seems like John Edwards has discovered school prayer, at least prayer time, now that he has recovered from his case of the vapors given to him by Ann Coulter's comments at CPAC.

I finally took the time to hear what Ms. Coulter actually said at CPAC, rather than relying on news reports. Taking my own advice was quite beneficial in this case.

Her use of the word faggot was in relation to that silly actor who went to rehab a few weeks ago for calling a fellow actor a faggot. Look the speech up yourself, don't rely on any version I might give you.

When the Edwards camp caught wind that faggot was used in paragraphical proximity of his name, they threw a collective hissy fit and started begging for money. The first justification for the money was that Coulter was proof that Republicans are more afraid of him than anybody else, so support him. The next justification was that Coulter was using hate speech and needed to be combated. Bottom line: Coulter implied that Edwards was a big sissy and he needs your money to recover. They call it "Coulter Cash".

Now he is advocating prayer in public schools, as if all of the Supreme Court and other legal bans prevent students from praying before a math or spelling test now. He says Jesus would be disappointed in us if we did not "allow" it.

In the mean time, Senators Clinton and Obama were campaigning in separate but equal Churches in Selma, AL, later to join up at the same Church. Seeing Democrats in Church more than four weeks before an election is kind of odd, but President Clinton (Bill) was getting the First Black President award or something.

Legal note: the only time a Church loses tax-exempt status for campaigning is when a non-Democrat speaks at a microphone.
