The Register reports and Microsoft confirms, "Microsoft's Office 2007 switches Outlook Express spell-checkers to work only in French. Those disposed to communicate in other languages are being advised to use third-party programs." Incredibly, they use the occasion to promote their MVP program and search engine instead of offering a patch or links to the removed files. Is this another way of pushing Vista?

The older versions of other language files are not replaced, so in this instance the guy must have installed French language files along with the English ones.
Microsoft forum members disagree with you [microsoft.com], but so what? Microsoft knows what they did to their own software and should provide a fix. That they can but don't is evidence of intent.
