Not Enough Runway

I was reading this neptunus lex post that links to this amazing video.

The video is pretty long - what it shows is a private jet landing on a runway that is closed, too short, wet and with a tail wind. The jet goes off the end of the runway into the water. Then while it is floating, after everyone has gotten off the jet, the starboard engine starts back up. Crazy. Lex's site has a lot more details. Crazy stuff.

A plane is coming in to land on a foggy night and touches down at the end of the runway, then, moments later they slam on the brakes to stop before the end of the runway which rushes up to them faster than either pilot can believe.

"That's the shortest runway I've ever seen!"

"Yeah, buts its the widest one I've ever seen."
