To play, you merely have to flip the controller slightly. Its something that took me a while to figure out. My son has dented a wall in our living room, but we've adjusted his and my playstyle to be much more subtle, and have thusly afforded little additional damage to the house (short of me whacking his head whilst trying to knock one out of the park).
