Journal Chacham's Journal: Uggh, computer won't boot 5
Well, I wanted to see what modules I had in my Abit BH-6 motherboard. I had 3 128s. I plan to upgrade them to 3 256s, the maximum.
Also, I cannot get the Promise TX 2000 to work, so I ordered a 3ware Escalade 7000-2. It has such glowing reviews, I should have bought that in the first place. Anyone want to buy the TX 2000?
Anyway, after I removed the memory modules and returned them, my computer won't boot. No beeps, nothing. I took them out again, and it still wouldn't go. It's plugged in to a working socket. However, the SCSI card's green light is not on. Not sure what to do now. I guess I'll have to keep trying.

is your powersupply working? Any blown fuses or burn marks?

If its becuase your memory modules aren't seated properly things should "sound" like they are coming up- fans and hard drive whirr.

Yes. I re-seated them twice. I even did it to the expansion cards as well.
are you sure your computer is plugged in?
Yes. I also tried it in another outlet, and tried another appliance in the same outlet.
Are you sure the power cable is plugged into the computer?
Yes. And I removed the cord and reinserted in a few times, just in case.
is your powersupply working? Any blown fuses or burn marks?
Hmm.. I have no idea. I'll check. Any ideas how though?
In 1 sentence: Have you checked all the obvious stuff?
I think so. and I'm trying to find out if I issed anything obvious. I appreciate your efforts.

Exactly, and none of that is happening, including the light on the SCSI card not coming on.
