Journal krugdm's Journal: Week 4 Results... 3

Yay! 10-4 this week, and I won the week in our pool! I'm also now just one point off the overall lead for the end-of-season prize.

Geez... Who saw the beatdown coming that Denver took last night? And the Lions over N'awlins?

But this week, it's

  • I see GreenBay winning this game. Oh, I'll root for the Bears of course, but they are just too beat up right now.

The only way to beat the Pack is to run, and run well, which sets up the pass. The Packers D isn't near as bad-ass as it used to be.

I love when these two teams get together. Oldest rivalry in football. I think the pack has a slight advantage in overall wins.

    Here's my prediction:

Greenbay 24, Chicago 20. No overtime this time.

But, in my official predictions, Bears win, as always.
    • I've got my sheet started for this weekend, and I've got Pack 17 Bears 14, in yet another photo finish.

BTW, I live in Wisconsin, but work in Illinois, so the trash talking will be going on pretty thick here, which is annoying, because in the years where the Pack was going to the playoff pretty regularly, and the Bears were losing, no one would admit to being a Bear fan. One good season, though, and watch them come out of the woodwork. Fair-weather fans, all of them.

      • Man, I hate fair-weather fans. Almost as bad as the popular jersey wearers. Gah. I have been a Bears fan since I was 6. that's 21 years of triumphs and tribulations. 85 was a great year. Haven't had many (up until last year anyway) since then.
