The purpose of blaming Rockstar is to direct attention away from themselves, and it's working. If it wasn't Rockstar, they would be blaming Bush, or Harry Potter, or anything else but themselves for how they are taking our tax dollars and failing our children.

  • You're being disingenuous by implying - purposely or not - that societal forces don't have an impact on the way children develop within their tidal pulls.

    While you can always argue that part of the parent's responsibility is to educate children on how to best respond to these influences, I would argue, additionally, that part of the parent's responsibility is to resist these forces if they feel that it is sufficiently dangerous to the proper development of their offspring.

    • I have one main issue with "protecting children" from objectionable and influential content. Now, I realize this doesn't apply to everyone, but I think there is a general trend and truth to it.
