This is creepy. Almost nobody is in the office today. My boss has already left for the day and encouraged me to do the same.
I haven't left yet because I thought I would let the traffic settle before I hit the highway. Of course around here, that doesn't mean a lot; there is always traffic. It never stops. Don't these people have something to do?
I'm looking forward to a nice, quiet weekend. I'll be spending New Year's Eve at home. New Year's Day will be equally quiet, but I have been invited to a friend's house in the afternoon for a gathering of friends. I will probably go.
Monday is a holiday, so there won't be much to do then, either. Quiet is nice. Chaos is distressing.
