Journal tuxette's Journal: final trip report - the journey home
22nd of October
*cuckoo-cuckoo*: Blah! It's 5 am and my phone-alarm is cuckooing. Time to get up and do the very last minute packing and get to the airport. It was rather hot in the hotel room, so we opened the window to get some air...
At some moment or other I looked out the window, only to discover the Lisbon creatures of the night hehe. So this is what we've been missing all this time while we've been sleeping? Fascinating. Very fascinating. We kept watching them from time to time, and one of the blondes got picked up by someone in a car, and then the other blonde got picked up by someone walking along the street. And the dark-haired one was left. He/she/it walked around a little bit, walked away, came back, and was met by a friend dressed like a woman but was very obviously a man (narrow hips, masculine facial features). When we eventually had to go down and take our taxi to the airport, they had left...
Lisbon Airport: Very confusing place. Ugh...
Flight to Heathrow: Very pleasant, probably one of the most pleasant flights I have ever had. The pilot was especially cheerful, and constantly announcing all the upcoming brilliant views. What on earth did they put in his morning coffee?
Full English breakfast: When we got to Heathrow, we scurried to our terminal and chose to have some food rather than go shopping. We had way too much crap to haul around anyway. So we found this pub serving traditional English pub food, and got a full English breakfast each, with an IPA to wash it all down...
Home sweet home: The flight from London to Oslo kind of sucked, but we finally arrived. We collected our luggage, went into the red zone to pay for the extra wine we had, and hopped on the train home. It's almost as if we paid to get out of the airport early, as there was a huge queue at the green zone. Yep, the customs agents had their dogs and they were checking out every other person there, rubber gloves and Vaseline ready and all. MOWAHAHAHA...
Dagen derpå : The next day I hopped on the scales to discover that I lost around 1,5 kg hehehehe... (Ring of Fat was not happy about this at all!)
