Journal FirstNoel's Journal: Ok where is it? Civ 4? 4

I took off today in anticipation of Civ4. It's delayed a day.

Well at least I was able to get a new speaker ordered for my car. I blew it out shortly after we lost Zack. Blaring angry music will do that. $64 for a replacement AC delco speaker. This last one is as old as the car, 7 1/2 years, so a new one should last me till I trade the car in.

What's nice is I can do my own maintenence, so instead of caosting me $150 to get it fixed, it's just the part. I wish I understood more about the car though.

  • Gah... I have been calling my wife all day... "No Josh, they haven't called [slashdot.org], yet!"
I read this, call them up... and "No, won't be in until tomorrow."
He said it in such a nice polite manner, and the fact that I'm in work, is all that stopped me from an extremely rare episode of vulgar swearing....

If its got multi, we should play sometime!
  • EB just called me to inform me that my preordered special edition Civ4 game had just arrived. :D
    • I just called my local EB, and they say it's in. Now I just have to wait an hour to get it.

The question is whether to upgrade to the Special Edition again, or go with the standard.

I've read that some of the US special edition versions have the French-canadian Tech tree included. So that could be a gamble, but Firaxis' site said that they'll get them replaced.

      • The special edition didn't cost anything extra when preordered, so it may be a free upgrade. Something to check out.

Other than that, you are talking a CD of music and a cool leather-like 'bookshelf' box. Any additions to the game, though, will probably be given to everyone in a patch after a while, I'm guessing.
