trmj's Journal: Busy day at work

I refilled my stapler.
Had a nice chat on AIM with abm0raz.
Discussed the awesomeness of $girlfriend with $girlfriend.
Got a check that should have been in my hand two weeks ago.
Had a bowl of chowdah.

Seriously thinking about starting my own onsite tech service for the Boston area. I did it plenty in PA, and have now done it plenty here. I could work for 8 hours and make what I do in two weeks with my current employer.

The only major thing stopping me is the lack of a car. If I had that, I could start to do the work on the side and build up a customer base, then when things are even, jump ship. Gah, I really want to lately.

Build up a local client base , short range and just a few people . You can get enough dosh to buy some rather sweet things (I got a PSP (which I sold as it was bleagh) and a mac mini , doing it) Always people localy who will pay , just make sure to undercut the competitors and rush ever job(whilst still maintaining quality)

There's a great market for this kind of work here, and I'm mor ethan qualified to be doing it on my own. A huge number of the clients I go to for my current employer ask if I do this on my own, I could take them all easily. The best paying clients would follow me to whatever company I go to.

I just need a car and I'll be set.

I recently gave up my title as an invincable teenager. Running around will no longer work for me.

You need a per emu , a fast bird with a firm kick . they help .. ok i am a bit drunk :;D
Seriously , try to get a few local clients and build from there . the locals should help you pay for your license and a small car
