Journal Koria's Beloved's Journal: Waiting III

For Koria, on her journey.

Trees kissed by sunlight
Gold on clouds above
I walk through the quiet morning
Waiting for my love.

Who can gauge the separation
The ache that silence brings?
The future may yet hold promise
The days wind on to joy
For the present waiting fills
Empty days of banal life
Gray days of washed-out time
Endless days of wishful longing.

Busy noon washed in sun
Life runs in ceaseless motion
I pause among the bustle
Waiting for my love.

My thoughts cannot span the distance
There is no way to know
Where the road will lead us
The path to uncertain goal
Will it be together?
Or will each walk alone?
My heart lives on in silence
Until my love's return.

In the quiet of the evening
Winding down from day to dark
I watch the golden sunset
Waiting for my love.

Though there is pain in waiting
Naught else could I now do
Trust grants me survival
Faith keeps me living on
Though future is not certain
And change is stuff of life
Steadfast waiting is my present
My path from morn to night.

Night's depth - the day is ending
Stars sparkle in the dark
I leave the world behind me
Waiting for my love.
