  • I'd say that's a clear cut case of situational ethics. But I think that's a forbidden concept to the modern political right, so that can't be it.

    I'd read about his father's death a little while ago, but that article was the first mention I'd seen of the ensuing lawsuit. Wow. I bet the Republican apologists are working overtime trying to come up with an angle on this one. Better leave 'em alone for now, they need time to think.

Most of the core conservatives currently supporting the republican majority appear to have seen this entire debacle as nothing but the grandstanding and intrustion on personal family matters that it was and given an emphatic thumbs down to the whole thing. The "culture of life" people are mainly a relatively small group of yipping poodles way out in deep right field that seem to think all life should be preserved at all costs, but that political showmanship and bicker
