Brian the Wise asks: "Is there anything avaible for Linux that can compare to the IP Multipathing in Solaris 8? I need it specifically for the active/passive failover of ethernet interfaces. A search around the net has only come up with HA Linux and LVS, but they're both talking about complete machine failover. All I want is for the system to move the IP configuration from one ethernet interface to a dormant one on the same machine when it detects the link going down on a single machine. Is there anything with a proven track record out there?"

Uttles asks: "In reference to this previous article asking about HomePNA support, does anyone out there know of any support for HomePNA 2.0 on Linux that is good for USB PNA devices? I have a 2Wire PC Port and my roommate has a Linksys PNA device and we both have to use Windows for them to work. Needless to say, we'd really like it if we could use Linux. Derek Glidden writes "I got sick of trying to figure out from other people's reports whether or not the 2.4 kernel VM system was broken or not, so I decided to run my own tests, write them up and post them online. The short conclusion is that the 2.4 VM rocks when compared with 2.2, but there's more to it than just that."

The Linux install has replaced a proprietary Unix system, not a Microsoft Windows product. This is still "A Good Thing" for Linux, but not the downfall of Microsoft that some have foreseen."

There was also a Slashdot story way back in 1998, but the thread sort of died out. I wanted to know if there is any work being done in trying to incorporate the exokernel design ideas into the mainstream linux kernel. What would be the pros and cons of doing such a thing?"
