The pretence of creating a company separate to the Government is a load of bollocks to start with and done only to try and hide crucial facts from the public, as a company does not have the same disclosure obligations as the Government. This has successfully killed off what little competition there was in the market and will lead to hugely inflated costs with only marginally better accessibility for internet users. I've been in my current residence waiting 2.5 years for someone other then Telstra or Optus to put in ADSL 2.0 so I can stop getting price gouged, you can bet I gave up on any of the others upgrading their network in my area after the NBN was announced.
i agreed but Really, don’t mess with it. It was an excellent film and an equally excellent soundtrack by Vangelis. If you must do something with the genre, do something from Walter Jon Williams (Hardwired, Voice of the Whirlwind), or Count Zero, or other such Cyberpunk stories that later became the inspiration to Johnny Mnemonic and The Matrix. And get Vangelis to do the soundtrack.
The first poster implies Turnbull is opposed to a national broadband network. I don’t know whether that’s because he is a smartarse, or just plain ignorant, but in fact Turnbull doesn’t. He supports A national broadband network. What he is opposed to is THE expensive ultra-high speed Rolls Royce Labor NBN that a great many poorer Australians won’t be able to afford.
Why do you think that? Nothing earth shattering has happened in the last 8 years where they were appointed and replaced, in a minority. Nothing earth shattering happened when the liberals were in charge for over a decade. Judge selection in Canada is generally impartial based on the merits of the judge at the federal level, has and continues to be. Provincial politics, not so much, but it's by far better than elected judges. Of course a judge breaching the judicial oath system is actually a fairly serious offence here. Meaning a judge can end up going off to prison in the worst case. The basic rule of judges is: You can hold no political affiliation, nor own businesses or enterprise in Canada. They must act as agents of the people.
excuse me somebody said that With governments worldwide moving to radio intercepts of neural signals, such services will soon be a waste of resources. Unless they can come up with a masking service to prevent the reconstruction of human thoughts, this type of research is going nowhere and will only expose people.
We’ve created a memory device with the physical properties of Jell-O Yes, yes but which does it work better with: rum or vodka?
