Journal twitter's Journal: M$ to fire 23,000 people today? 1

Spotted a minute ago. 39,000 M$ employees are being bused to a mass meeting where 23,000 will be fired.

CEO Steve Ballmer is firing up 23,000 employees at Thursday's meeting, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. But the big attraction may be emcee Rainn Wilson, the University of Washington graduate who stars in the TV show The Office. Microsoft chartered more than 200 buses to take employees to the meeting and limit traffic congestion.

Buses, how considerate of them wonder if those fired will be allowed the bus ride back to their cars. Will the buss of death become as famous as the blue screen? Alas, traffic is expected to be heavy anyway:

Traffic is expected to be heavy this morning around Safeco Field in Seattle where Microsoft is holding its annual employees' meeting. More than 22,000 people are expected to attend.

Update: whoops, that's "firing up" not "firing up to." The latter was easier to imagine than the former. Softies, get back to your holes and enjoy the monkey boy talk. The richest man in the US will fire you later. He did not get rich paying programmers full price for duds like Vista, Zune, and Xbox. He got rich crushing other companies filled with people like you and wringing every last penny out of their work.

  • crap like this does not help - maybe it's supposed to be funny - if so I guess the joke is lost on me. I really thought people were going to get fired - until I read the article.

Make it right before you make it faster.
