Journal twitter's Journal: Hotmail Admits to Political Censorship of Truthout Email. 1
Update 7/11/2011 - Microsoft and Yahoo refused to back down and eventually, Truthout removed their protest page. Archive.org has it. AOL says they backed down, but the point was made. People should not trust service providers and should demand the right to run their own services and network neutrality.
A few days ago, AOL, Microsoft and Yahoo started blocking Truthout Newsletters. Today, Hotmail admitted to it:
MSN Hotmail has supposedly "stated to [Truthout's] administrators that they are in fact 'throttling' and 'blocking' [Truthout] communications" and this is due to the organization's "'reputation'."
This means Truthout is spam to any Microsoft controlled email. Do you want to give control of the internet, to three or four companies? The coordinated action of these three companies raises the disturbing possibility of government involvement. It's not like the current administration has any respect for the Constitution or your rights.
