Watching guys cook. Da-a-a-ang! :-)

Tonight's dinner is being cooked by mine truly. I'll provide an update when it's actually eaten. Meanwhile, I'm going to enjoy my glass of primitivo. Mmmmm....

Update: Tonight's dinner - spaghetti with a wonderful sauce made of ground beef, chopped tomatoes, basil, oregano, chili, garlic, onion, zucchini, red wine, tomato paste...hmm darlig? You there? Anything else I missed? Oh, and topped with freshly grated parmesean of course. Only the best! :-)

Tonight's wines - testing of several Italian wines. Monte Antico, sangiovese, from Toscana, 2001, and Barone Cornacchia, montepulciano d'Abruzzo, 2002. And some primitivo we have in a carton. I'll mention that one later on %-)

    Yeah, so why exactly is that? My wife and the last two girlfriends I had before my wife and I met and got married found my culinary skills to be very attractive, and I never really understood why. Growing up cooking was a necessity because my folks were rarely around, in college, it was a job that paid the bills, in graduate school, it was a way to contribute to social circles that has been maintained to this day. Usually when we have social gatherings, everybody congregates in the kitchen while I cook a
    • I don't want to answer fro tuxette, but most of the girls I know find anything a guy does that isn't a traditional "guy" thing sexy because it shows that he is comfortable in his manhood. Many guys won't cook b/c it is "girl thing" a friend of mine told me she talked to this guy she likes on the phone and she aked him what he was doing. He said he was doing laundry and she said, "Man, that's SEXXXY!" She told me that a guy that can take care of himself (and her) and can run his own household without goin

        • Well, if I'm doing laundry, then I usually try to wash all the dirty clothes, which includes what I have on. So, it ends up being pretty sexy. Or at least naked. :-)

    • For me, it's partly due to the non-traditional guy thing and comfort with his sexuality (like TL said), and partly due to being THE man and providing his Woman with a good supply of food. This is especially important considering I am very active and in being such, require lots of quality calories :-) I got those tonight. I'll be very ready for a long bike ride tomorrow :-)
    • It shows prowess in a skill that is often neglected by selfish people or people that depend on others for their basic needs. When you provide such skills it shows that you have taken the time out of your life to better yourself in that regard. Some people sew, knit, or the like and when that skill is used people consider an act of love because of its neccesary time involved not only in the production of said items but in the requisite time alloted in learning the skill in the first place.
