Journal trmj's Journal: [Movie] The Island 1
So I got to see this movie two days before release. The story of how I got the ticket is really random, but that's for a comment if any want to read it.
This movie is a turn-your-brain-off kind of thing, with huge holes in the makup (blood is there in one scene, gone with the change of a camera, and magically back again!) and plot.
They did a better job of keeping the explainations realistic than Blade though. Gah, those movies would have been good had they not tried to base it scienifically.
What saved this movie was the fact that there was not one, but two road chase scenes with big explosions and vehicles (armored trucks, not just your run of the mill sedans) doing cartwheels. And the sex. Can't forget about the sex.
Being generous, I'm giving it 6/10.
