+ - Linux, Mac users up in arms over BBC's iPlayer

Submitted by Mashd Tae Ta
Mashd Tae Ta (666) writes "The BBC is getting into muddy waters over its iPlayer on-demand TV service. The problem lies with the fact the player is designed for Windows XP — which means non-Windows users are now up in arms over the lack of support for alternative platforms. The Open Source Consortium met with the Beeb last week to discuss concerns the iPlayer would end up being "locked into a single technology stack"."

If this is timesharing, give me my share right now.
