Journal pudge's Journal: Lynne Stewart 7

Attorney Lynne Stewart was convicted this week, of illegally passing information from one of her clients to other terrorists.

Yay.

Far too long have lawyers like Stewart thought they could do anything they wished in the name of "free speech" and attorney-client privilege. Giving material support to terrorists is not justified on any grounds, and I hope she goes away for a long, long time.

  • Geesh...

Lawyers and Terrorist goes together real well....NOT. Attorney-Client privilege does not cover treasoneous acts.

Prisoner, especially of non-status quo, are not entitled to the POW treatment but instead as citizenless combatants.

There lies a rub. Most international laws (including Geneva Convention) do not cover citizenless status and their release, particularly citizenless terrorists.

Guantanamo serves that purpose of handling such non-citizens.
    • I find your ideas interesting, how can I subscribe to your newsletter.

Oh and good. Lynne really isn't a bad human. I have met her several times. She is however a criminal.

She's also a friend to, in her professional career, mostly Marxists and Islamists fundamentalists who want to kill us.

It's amazing how some people on the extreme left in the U.S., who traditionally have been anti-fascist, pro-civil rights, etc., have aligned themselves with what is today closest to the antithesis of those ideals.

It's like, why do anti-war protestors wear Che Guevara shirts, who purport t
        • My impression of Lynne is that she is simply overly optimistic... she is after all a hardcore Mets fan ;) She seems to think there is good in everyone waiting to burst out. Again I only met her a handful of times. She's very excited about computers btw. She's not terribly adept at operating them, however.

That whole Che thing makes me laugh. His fame is based on his being "cute" and one good poster.
          • Given Lynne Stewart's continuing enthusiasm for Stalin, I find it hard to regard her as quite the cuddle-toy you describe.
            • well look, like I said, I only met her a few times. All I am trying to say is she ain't the monster the NY POst is making her out to be. I agree she is a criminal. I agree she is deluded politically. I don't know if she did this to kill anyone. She may have.
              • Yeah, I hear you. I wasn't intentending to impute any particular motivation, other than anti-Americanism. She intends to subvert our government. Whether she thinks people will die as a result, what she hopes to accomplish, I have no idea.

Avoid strange women and temporary variables.
