The most interesting theory I've heard about Howard Dean is that he is an anti-American communist, in cahoots with the Cuban and Chinese governments, and the major opposition party in Russia, to intentionally destroy America from the inside, decimating its economy and its military.

I believe he's parodying a similar comment made by Dean about Bush. At least I hope so...
Anyway, Pudge, this whole episode reminds me of a story a few months ago that got almost no attention: Dean was at a cocktail party at a supporter's home in New Hampshire. According to a single account I read, the hostess insisted that Bush was planning to declare martial law and suspend the 2004 election. Dean nodded and said, "Yes, I've heard the same thing."

No more or less true than Dean being trained, bankrolled and supplied by communists. In both cases, a cause they supported was also supported by that group (Dean and communists supporting the pro-Saddam rallies, OBL and the CIA both supporting anti-Soviet fighting in Afghanistan). They just had a common enemy at the time - much as the USSR and USA found a common enemy in Hitler. That doesn't mean Stalin
