Journal pudge's Journal: Theory 11

The most interesting theory I've heard about Howard Dean is that he is an anti-American communist, in cahoots with the Cuban and Chinese governments, and the major opposition party in Russia, to intentionally destroy America from the inside, decimating its economy and its military.

  • *Snort!* Snicker.......Guffaw! Yeah well, that's interesting because I heard the same thing about GWBush, except that it was not the communists, but the capitalists. And that he was not destroying America via the economy, but instead was destroying our international relations and our military by outsourcing all military operations to private corporations and disregarding all other significant relations with foreign countries. :-)

Seriously though, this is a joke right?

I believe he's parodying a similar comment made by Dean about Bush. At least I hope so...

Anyway, Pudge, this whole episode reminds me of a story a few months ago that got almost no attention: Dean was at a cocktail party at a supporter's home in New Hampshire. According to a single account I read, the hostess insisted that Bush was planning to declare martial law and suspend the 2004 election. Dean nodded and said, "Yes, I've heard the same thing."

I read somewhere that famous mathematicians and physicists get deluged with crank theories in the mail, and often pestered by the cranks to respond. One mathematician had a form letter that read "I received your proof of Fermat's Last Theorem. The fi

  • Yeah, I'd say that sounds about right.

  • and you beleived this?
    • I didn't say I believed it, I just said it was an interesting theory. You know, Dean was in favor of those antiwar marches, and the biggest ones were organized by an actual communist group. This is true.

...Does it matter? Commie != Satan-loving, baby-eating psychos armed with AK-47s and burning flags, you know. It's just a political party/idea. Not that I'm a commie - I think it's a rather stupid idea, but that's besides the point.

The antiwar marches would have happened if they were organized by Stalin himself. A lot of people, me included, believe the war was wrong, Wrong, WRONG. Fortunately, however, we did not march a

        • As far as interesting theories go, yes, this is interesting in that it's being perpetuated because, otherwise, it is obviously complete lunacy.

Agreed. See my next journal entry for an explanation. :-)
  • I heard that Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda were trained, bankrolled and supplied by the CIA. Crazy, huh?

    Hey, hang on a minute...
    • I heard that Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda were trained, bankrolled and supplied by the CIA. Crazy, huh?

No more or less true than Dean being trained, bankrolled and supplied by communists. In both cases, a cause they supported was also supported by that group (Dean and communists supporting the pro-Saddam rallies, OBL and the CIA both supporting anti-Soviet fighting in Afghanistan). They just had a common enemy at the time - much as the USSR and USA found a common enemy in Hitler. That doesn't mean Stalin

  • The only people that support Dean (publicly, at least in these parts) have been the local fascist weirdos. You know, the type who in high school wore capes? That alone is enough for me to be against him.
