  • The banner ad at the bottom of your blog has the McCain "Join Our Team" tag with McCain & Lieberman hand hugging. I thought I missed an announcement. Personally I'd love to see him tap Lieberman. Obama can talk all he wants about change & being really different from the way things are normally done, but if McCain were to cross party lines for his running mate, that would be orders of magnitude more revolutionary than anything he's done or claims he'll do.
    • I've got a great deal of respect for Joe, particularly the chutzpah of winning the Senate seat while not on the Dem ticket.
      As long as it's an old dude, though, I'd be more interested in Colin Powell.
      Who I would really dig seeing as VP, though, is Condi Rice, not so much for 2008 or 2012, but 2016 and 2020.
      The US could use a lengthy stint of consistent foreign policy.

        You know, with NATO's absolutely gutless response to Georgia, that's what I want more than anything from our policy right now. If we're going to be idealistic, live it and back it up. If we're going to preach freedom and it's defense, do it. Or else just come home. Cut the size of the military and abandon the bases overseas and come home.

          I venture a "gosh, that sounds swell", except that the bottom line on globalization is that "Team America, World Police" is darn hard to avoid, at best.
