I am watching KCTS Connects, a local PBS show, because they are interviewing Jim Lehrer and his wife.

And I didn't merely happen upon it: I recorded it on the TiVo in advance.

  • I have an intern under me, and at one point we were talking music and the subject turned to Disturbed's "Land of Confusion". I replied "Good song, they even stayed true to the original version!"
    He asks, "Original version?" "Yeah, the one by Genesis" "Who's Genesis?" "Umm... the group that Phil Collins used to play for..." "Phil Collins?" That's when I gave up. Sheesh, these kids now-a-days don't even know Phil Collins...
    • I had almost that exact same conversation with my girlfriend. I'm 26, she's 23. Kids these days. ;)
