Journal pudge's Journal: I Don't Get It 6

There's a Kia ad campaign that says William Henry Harrison was an "unheard-of President," and Kia is having unheard-of savings, so they are honoring Harrison.

I don't think "unheard-of" means what they think it means.

  • They mean their sale only lasts 30 days.

And as one of the presidents between Washington and Lincoln, most Americans probably don't remember him.
    • I laughed really, really hard at that. My coworkers are looking at me oddly. :)

I seem to remember a decent amount of emphasis on Harrison, if only for the novelty factor of his short term, and the "Tippecanoe and Tyler too" campaign. But then again, I remember a lot of stuff from history classes that others might not.
      • I believe he also held the record for longest inaugural address as well.

Then it stands to reason he also holds the record for the highest address-to-term ratio! A triple threat!

I wonder if Kia's trying to say their sale is 30 days long and their salesmen are long-winded.
  • it doesn't but most of the people who see the ad wont know either.
  • but a crappy one
