Journal pudge's Journal: Shield Laws, Again 2

Some San Franisco Chronicle reporters are facing possible jail time for refusing to testify about their supposedly confidential sources. Their lawyer said, "It would be a shame if they go to jail for doing their job."

Funny, that's what the drug dealers' lawyer said, too!

  • Were they dealing pot? If so, in some circumstances, I'd like to see the laws changed so they wouldn't go to jail either. I'm pro-federal shield law, and pro-taxation and regulation of marijuana.

      You're missing the point. I could have inserted ANY job where that job entailed breaking the law. How about bank robber, would that work better for ya?
