Journal pudge's Journal: Pudge and Dobson 4

Ryan Dobson, son of Dr. James Dobson, and friend of mine from college, runs KOR, a 501(c)(3) youth ministry. Part of the ministry is the KOR Kast, a podcast, which now features a segment called "Politics with Pudge." Which is me. Talking about politics.

Feel free to let me know what you think about the segment here or via email, or send email to politics at korministries.com.

Since KOR is 501(c)(3), I have to be a bit careful about what I say.

Also, I found out recently that James Dobson (a different one) was in Flying Leathernecks in 1951 with John Wayne, where Mr. Dobson played "Lt. Pudge McCabe." Hmmmm.

  • i've always been interested in how some of these organizations work around that issue. the ministry i work for just sent out a reminder of our policies since the political season is heating up. ministry staff can of course do what they want on their own time and with their own resources, but pretty much can't do anything 'on the clock' or using ministry resources.
  • An interesting new opportunity for sure. Hope it is fun, enlightening, educational, etc. I'll point my RSS reader yoru way (assuming you have a feed that is).

  • I saw on the linked to Kor site, that Ryan Dobson's wife, Laura, is has a Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) license.

Outside of a Stephenson novel, I hadn't ever heard of it. From the little I could dig up, it seemed kind of controversial. As you know them I was wondering if you could post some more information about it. I am fascinated by the idea and the controversy and would love an insiders take on both.

    Thanks.
