So when DNA matches OJ, it's proof he was framed. When it doesn't match Karr, it's proof he is innocent.

I knew from the start Karr was innocent

It was pretty obvious, when his ex-wife, who would like to see him dead, had stated that he was with her on that date. She had no motive for covering for him. He has been too calm and smiley for the cameras to be the murderer. He wants the media attention, he's devised a way to get it, and now he's had his fifteen minutes of fame. Now he'll face charges in California and hopefully will be placed in prison for a while on the child pornography charges.

Boortz was suggesting he might have been facing arrest in Thailand on child porn charges, and probably thought serving prison time in a California prison would be vastly preferable to serving prison time in a Thai prison.

I haven't followed the case closely enough to know if he was been watched by Thai police, but it's an intriguing possibility.

But then you also have to wonder why he was seeking a sex change...

Don't be so simplistic

DNA can't prove anything one way or the other. Even in cases of rape, one could always be set up by someone with a basting wand or a Q-Tip. And in the other case, absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
