The RNC has a fraudulent ad. Supposedly. You see, they show clips of Democrats, then the words "Our soldiers are watching and our enemies are too," on a screen, with a soldier watching. But in reality, he was watching something else (How the Grinch Stole Christmas!).

Yes, and? There's clearly no intent to deceive. It's obvious that this is not meant to be literally what that soldier was seeing. To call this a "fraud" is to be, well, stupid.

Methinks the liberal doth protest too much.

      • I won't worry about him. I have nothing to do with Mississippi. I trust that the good people of Mississippi will look into this, and that Governor Haley Barbour will give due consideration to what has transpired, should it reach his desk.

      Since when does attacking guards and other inmates on a continual basis constitute "turned-around?" I bet you think water-boarding, bright lights, and sleep deprivation constitute "torture," too.

      Fortunately, we punish people for what they did, not what they will or won't do in the future once they are caught.

  • if the Dems doctored photos in this way. So it's appropriate for the critics to slam the RNC.

    Anyway, the claims that the Democrats are white flag waving defeatists is simply a lie. Some think we should get out of the war sooner rather than later, which is not the same thing. Others think we should just get our act together, which to Bush et al. seems to be the greatest offense of all.

    Maybe a "strategy" written by actual military planners instead of some PR flackery expert would be a good first step. B

      I'm not talking about the objective, i.e. remove Saddam from power, but the strategy, i.e. 'plan for war' (look at the root definition in Greek.)

        As far as Murtha's army goes. I personally know some of those full time active duty people taking their 3rd tour of Iraq. One has been in two helicopter lines that had a unit shot from the sky in front of him during his previous two tours. I can assure you that these people are tired and worn out. They enjoy the time they have with their families while they are home as precious

        because I don't. You don't have to be a Leftist (your words) to think that we have an incredibly incompetent president who hasn't a clue what he's doing in Iraq. That said, we broke it, we need to fix it, and that means effective Iraqization and then withdrawal, not a speedy timetable which would help the insurgents.

      a. I do not know that. And neither do you.
      b. Even if they did, that doesn't make it right, and I would disagree with them.
      c. They were not "doctored." That word implies intent to deceive.
