I don't really know if PETA Kills Animals is accurate, but it seems reasonable. However, even if it is not, it is great to see PETA get a taste of its own medicine. If they can put cancer patient Rudy Guiliani in an ad that implies he got cancer from drinking milk, it's more than fair that someone else notes that they gave thousands of dollars to a convicted arsonist.

Just remember: Fluffy doesn't want rights.

PETA Kills Animals is run by Center for Consumer Freedom [consumerfreedom.com], a group representing "nonprofit coalition of restaurants, food companies, and consumers working together to promote personal responsibility and protect consumer choices." "Food companies" includes the tobacco industry which has a shared interest with restaurant owners in opposing public smoking bans. They seemed to have purged the pro-smoker element from their website, too unpopular perhaps.

The question is not whether their practices are a secret, it's what their practices are. Similar with who they give money to.
