  • unfortunately the people who need it most are completely incapable of digesting it.

    The real problem is not liberals or conservatives-- it is people completely unable to see things from other view points, and they exist in both camps. It shows more with liberals because it is in such stark contrast to the claims of being progressive.

    • Funny, we did the same thing in our class once. Being that most everyone agreed on the issues, I asked to be placed on the team that opposed what most of the class thought. But that's just how I am :-)

      • Me too. I still think about that day sometimes because the majority were pro-death penalty. I was on the con side and our team did a pretty poor job. I wish I could do it again.
  • They just need to stay the fuck out of my life. Why do right wing columnists not get this? Dobson et al. could have very happy lives avoiding all the gay sex and abortions they want. Why can't they leave the rest of us alone?

      It works both ways. You can't tell the "Conservative Christians" to "stay the fuck out of your life" and at the same time favor sex education in schools, gun control, taxes on everything from doctor visits to alcohol to gas to soda pop, and other intrusions into my life that liberals regularly engage in.
