Hey, now that I've seen the movie, I can answer. You are right. Story sucks. So what?? Common, this is a movie with space ships!! Fighting space ships!! How many years it's been since we had a decent movie with (or, say, "mainly featuring") space ships? Don't refuse the simple pleasure of being a 10 year old boy during 2 hours of your life.
