Journal perfessor multigeek's Journal: Gay Marriage @ NYC City Hall Today:You're Invited 4
Today at 1:00 there will be a marriage ceremony officiated by a minister and a rabbi. The three couples will all be same sex and the ceremonies will be worded to not claim government sanction.
So, yes, it's a marriage ceremony *and* a test case.
And the snow should still be falling, diffusing the light from the park gas lamps and giving it all a soft romantic glow.
Since I kinda know the rabbi officiating I got a call inviting me to join them. So now I'm inviting you.
One o'clock. City Hall. New York City.
Hope to see you there,
-Rustin

Now that is how all marriage ceromonies should be performed (IMO).
After all, some organizations and traditions hold a right of passage for their young men, but that doesn't mean the government will let them legally own a pistol or drink alcohol.
