Journal ncc74656's Journal: Dean Supporter in Tears Over Saddam's Capture 3

Proof that what's good for America is bad for Democrats, and vice versa:

Dean Supporter in Tears Over Saddam's Capture

Though Democratic presidential front-runner Howard Dean was relatively magnanimous in his reaction to Saddam Hussein's capture yesterday, his supporters aren't taking the news nearly as well.

On Dean's Blog for America Web page, supporter "Carrie" wrote yesterday: "I can't believe this. I'm crying here. I feel that we now don't have a chance in this election."

    • The part of this that really gets me:

What I cannot figure out is when something obviously works, all evidence points to success, repeated experience has proven the ability of something working, yet someone still tries to prevent a successful outcome instead of adopting the idea as their own.

Reminds me of the proverb of a dog returning to its own vomit.
  • Now Dean can urge US troops to surrender to Saddam. Wait for Al Gore to try to upstage his new pet politician by saying he wanted to surrender in 1998.
