When last we peeked in on the anarchists and anti-war moonbats at Indymedia, they were organizing superglue vandalism across the country. Their new stunt in the works? A national flag burning day.

Y'know, I thought a little thing like "protected by the supreme law of the land" would be enough, rather than finding a prosecutor to file spurious charges.

Eh? Typically (WTO protests aside) I've seen the police move pretty swiftly to arrest or at least detain anyone doing anything illegal at a protest.

Now sometimes you have to let protesters do things your don't like but that is because what they are doing is perfectly legal and consitutionally protected.

It's like the first rule of talk radio - if someone wants to make a jackass out of themself, get out of their way. I am strongly against a flag burning amendment or any other such nonsense. However, that's the government side of things.

That being said, I have little sympathy for a flag-burner who gets punched in the face. If a private citizen kicks the ass of an idiot burning a flag on Independence Day or shouting Neo-Nazi propaganda outside a synagogue, I think that's an example of the consequences of you
