I've been trying some Proxy apps on my Win98 system. I already use Internet Junkbusters - an HTTP/HTTPS Proxy and Filter. Works well, but does not support other protocols.

So I need to try some of the following:

• ftp.proxy - an OSS/FS FTP Proxy (runs on Win32, but not sure about Win98)
• ezProxy - another inexpensive shareware MultiProxy app (free for 2 users)
• SpoonProxy - another inexpensive shareware MultiProxy (free for 1 simul user)
• EServ - a shareware alternative. Win9X/NT/2K HTTP/HTTPS/FTP Proxy (a bit pricey).
• TCP Tunnel 2.0 - a shareware alternative. Win9X/NT/2K/XP full TCP.
• Simtel links - lots of proxies in Simtel's Win9X/ME Programs for Using the Internet (EServ was found here; some are free)
• Google links - Google's list of Proxy apps

Looks like AutoIt may be a useful Win32 tool that can simulate key presses, mouse movements and window commands (maximize, minimize, wait for, etc.) in order to automate any windows based task (or even windowed DOS tasks). Will have to give this a try.

I really liked William Wu's Riddles pages and the Slashdot article that discussed it.

I enjoyed the simplicity of presentation of this article, Using XML, by J David Eisenberg for A List Apart. It shows a simple process of creating a data-oriented XML, validating it via several means, and then transforming it via several means. I especially liked Relax NG, a next generation schema language for XML.

I like this. Minimalism in HTML Design. I'll probably be using this style for a future web project.
