The cost of always locked cockpit doors is that no longer will children be able to go up and check out an airplane cockpit flown by a real life pilot. That's a pretty sad thing, as someone that did get to check out the cockpit many years ago.
Slashdot videos: Now with more Slashdot!
I want to see them too.
Heh, sorry, tables were never okay to use tables for layout.
You insensitive clod! My grandparents have died.
Why should I care if the Linux kernel is free of non-free firmware? Does that have the added benefit of rending the hardware devices I use unusable? If so, well done Debian: you've successfully maintained the honourable badge of forcing your users to work as if it was 2000.
Simple solution for S3: Encrypt everything that you put up there.
How is this a problem?? We couldn't nuke the planet for a few months? That's a fucking selling point folks.
I set up my iPhone by typing in my Mobile Me account details and my IMAP account credentials. Pretty simple. Not that I use Mobile Me for email - I have my own postfix/courier setup for IMAP mail. Google can keep the private data of other suckers.
Except NexentaStor (3.0.3) has an OpenSolaris upstream (which has gone away, by the way) kernel bug that hanged our Nexenta test box. Not a real good first impression.
Nope. Step-mother and father purchased another year. They saw the obvious value in it! $99/yr for unlimited one-on-one tutelage on their own computer is a simple choice. Besides, if they didn't buy it for a second year I would have for them!
No. You get them a Mac and buy them a year of 1-on-1 training from Apple. The number of support calls I've fielded went to zero from the old windows system. My step-mother is happy to call the Apple store, load up the iMac and have the Apple staff show her how to do something. It's wonderful.
Apple released their new iPhone product at the end of the sixth month of this year. Let's wait til year's end and look at a graph of sales throughout the year of similar products and compare the lifespan of a product line.
"Excuse me sir, what is your middle name?"
I'm not sure where you've been for the past 150 years but photography is not new.
Who do you think has to prove innocence when the likeness of a man with no twins is caught on film shooting someone? I'd say a photograph is very compelling evidence and I'm pretty sure the courts agree, but, IANAL.
As someone who has almost been run over by morons failing to stop at a stop sign and red light I endorse red-light and stop sign cameras. I say put the cameras at every intersection and raise the penalty for not stopping at stop signs or red lights.
