I havenâ(TM)t owned a car in 6 years. I never want to own one again. All I remember is car payments, insurance, maintenance, gas, speeding tickets, parking tickets, red light tickets, and more... Give me a reasonable price for unlimited monthly travel in a reasonable distance and Iâ(TM)m your customer. I can always rent a car for longer distance travels.

The pace of cyber security technology moves so quickly that any government approved solutions would be obsolete by the time they got implemented. Iâ(TM)ve worked in the industry for over a decade and the real issue is that security is a balancing act between costs, time to implement, time to train, access required to do a job, and the level of protection possible. Insurance also filled the gap nicely for a long time on what it would cost to pay out liabilities. As cyber insurance costs have risen the demand for better security has gone up.

They would need to port office to Linux for it to run on there. That would be a big positive forward step for the world. Iâ(TM)d jump off the Mac ship to a surface with Linux if it had Office. I know, I know, they brought Linux to Windows. The Linux subsystem for Windows is a poor alternative IMHO. Iâ(TM)d rather be able to run Linux and not have Microsoft spying on my operating system.

Comment Router? (Score 1) 28

Have Verizon FiOS and use their router. Disabled DHCP and use a raspberry pi for pi-hole to be dhcp and dns server on network. Havenâ(TM)t used a third party router in the last couple of years. Why bother? Any value created with one if you donâ(TM)t have a static IP address you can pass through to it? Seems like all you do is add double NAT.
