Not only did it fail to meet the 2008 performance benchmarks — handling only 8Mbps of the 12Mbps required — it falls well short of the planned 100Mbps FTTP. Yet Senator Conroy has deemed the trial "a success" despite widespread opposition from the judiciary, the ISPs, the technical experts, and the citizens of Australia!"

Not quite. Commercial TV has been around since the 1940s (in the U.S., anyhow) and color broadcasts were commonly available by 1960. My family got it's first color TV in order to watch the 1968 Olympics.

Yes, I agree with you there, but I wouldn't be sure if you said that many common homes had colour TVs.

I guess those Nigerian 419 scams really do pay off for them."
