Actually I believe this is helping, we're one step closer towards the masses realizing they are living in a giant corporate turd.

If they do that they're just begging for their games to be pirated so these fascist enforcements can go away.

The good thing about the beta is that it will allow hackers to work on a bnet-to-lan emulator, which shouldn't really be harder than tracking packets and learning what they do.

heck if pirated servers for wow were functionnal before the actual game launched, this should be real easy to code.

It still should be optional, people should be free to decide whether they want to use the bnet integration or not. I myself will most likely run sc2 behind a firewall when i play the single player campaign to not be bothered and find a bnet-to-lan utility for lan gaming.

That would explain why our entire economy is flooded with uncreative people polluting our markets with useless gizmos so they can buy themselves volvos and play golf.

You know, with each new government action that gets posted here on slashdot, my hope in democracy as it stands now fades away, I thought at one point it would disappears but now it appears I have negative hope towards democracy.

That system is now so corrupt it itself has trouble keeping track of what it stands for and makes decisions like.. texting health plans. That sounds like someone needing mass attention or wanting mass distractions to me.

But those toys were used to distract the mindless american consumers while the two assholes destroyed everything!

I don't think we ever were free in that respect to begin with :)
