glh's Journal: Upcoming Computer Show in Dayton- possible get together?

I wanted to mention that one of the largest computer shows in the US is going to be happening pretty soon (the weekend of August 24). It's called "Computerfest" and is located in Dayton, OH. I've gone to this in the past, and it is a GREAT place to get good computer parts cheap. For example, last year I bought a 19" monitor for under $200, and it is still working great. In addition, they have a lot of pro-linux seminars and that sort of thing. I also remember them having some computers set up for gaming (but I think you may have to pay to do it).

Anyway, I know that some of the people that read my journal are probably not too far off from Dayton. I wanted to propose a possible get together and see if anyone might be interested in that. I'll be heading down on Saturday morning.

I live like less than 30 minutes from dayton, and I've been to computerfest before. The only problem is that I'll be moving around that date to another apartment, and I'll have to convince the wife to let me go (although I'm sure I won't be able to buy anything there).

If you need a place to stay, just gimmie a hollar.

Cool! I figured you were close. I'm not 100% sure what time I'll be getting down there, but I'm thinking around 10'ish.

Maybe we could get together for lunch (either at the show, or at Fazoli's or something near by)? It'd be good to see you agian.. I think it's probably been quite a while, huh? :)
