About two months ago slashdotter Mike Hawk started posting in my journal. We have had some conflicts. Other people have conflicts with him too. I wish I had known about them earlier.

For the last eight months or so I have been posting a link to every journal I posted to. So, my posting record is clear.

I've decided to list Mike Hawk's recent posts too. I think they speak for themselves.

One of my other correspondents pointed out that Mike Hawk is a homonym for "My Cock". I hadn't noticed that before.

Originally I had quotes around Mike's name. I've removed them since he has explained it is his real name. I got some kidding when I was a kid over my middle name. Not using a middle name, or going by Michael Hawk, shows a younger Mike Hawk learned the same perseverance we see today.

update: 2005/09/13 Has Mike Hawk left? Or just picked a new identity?

There has been nothing posted from his ID in the last five months. I suspect he abandoned his ID, and made one or more new ones. He is the first really rude correspondent I have had who frustrated me so much with his baseless insults that I descended to trying to responding in kind -- at least to a limited extent. I didn't find it satisfying. My second strategy, of merely tracking and listing his ugly and contradictory statements was a lot more satisfying.

      I didn't know him, or his record, and I made the mistake of extending courtesy and civility to him. He had another exchange yesterday with another person who didn't know him.
